Choosing table linens for a wedding or event can be confusing, but also exciting too — imaginations run wild mixing fabrics, colors, textures and patterns. Then, you go to order the linens…what size did you need for those cocktail tables, guest tables, and buffet tables again? Choosing the correct table linen size can be tough, so we are here to help.
Measure Your Table
We’re all about making things as easy for you as possible. That’s why we’ve come up with this helpful linen size chart.
Start with your size of table on the far left. Then on the right figure out how far down to the floor from the table you want the linens to fall, ½ length, ¾ length, or all the way to the floor. Then look up at the top to see the size linen that you need.
Don’t know what size table you have just by looking at it? No problem. If it’s a rectangle linen you’ll want to measure the length (longer edge of the table) in feet and then the width (shorter edge) in inches.
If you are looking at round tables, measure the diameter (distance from one end of the table to the other through the center of the table) in inches.
The height of a table is the distance from the floor to the top of the table. Most tables we offer are 30” high (standard height). We also carry cocktail table rentals that also can come in 36” high, and 42” high.
Determine Tablecloth Drop
Then there is the drop of the linen, which is how far the linen will go down to the floor. To completely hide the table legs you would need a full-length drop. The other most popular drop size is 1/2 length, where the linen will reach to the guests lap or then there is 3/4 length that will stop just short of the floor.
Still not sure about the best table linen size? No worries, that’s what we’re here for. If you’re having trouble with the chart above or you have a size table that isn’t listed here just give us a call at 724-776-6990 and we’ll be happy to figure it out for you.
